Hey Uncle John,
Its your long-lost nephew from Canada who is currently living in the very dusty Bakersfield. A friend of mine was linking me some videos of a pianist she enjoys so it made me think to check out your website. I just thought I'd drop you a line and say hello. Best of luck to you and Frank, I hope everything is going well.

We were also on the Pride the week of 2/10/08.
You and Laurie Ann at the piano bar were a true delight. What a fun time.
We were the group from Victorville, Ca.
Thanks so much for singing "The Piano Man".

I, too, was on the Carnival Pride cruise and the evenings in the piano bar were the best part of the cruise. I certainly hope to be able to catch a future performance.
Thanks so much!

Very impressive. Wonderful site!! Your musically talents are heriditary... the Basque's love to sing.. AND love their music. Bravo!!
We are probably distant relatives. My father is from Urepel/ Aldudes Valley in France. Most family is still there; in contact with them often. I have been doing some ancestry & came upon you too. I also have a brother name John Erreca; all our family lives in Bakersfield.(be nice.) If you are interested in any Basque family history or family information I can send it to you..
I love your work, your music, et your site. Wish I lived closer to meet you.

You just have to love this guy! Who wouldn't? If you thought of someone, back up. We Erreca's are all for one and one for all...or whatever. Anyhow, I miss you Uncle John. I miss you too, Uncle Frank. Get this....wait for it....try not to laugh....what do you think of a peacock themed wedding? hee hee San Francisco is just too far away. Michael and I wish we were closer. Ya know, I still remember the Spaghetti Factory and the park you took me to when I was younger. Then, and who can forget this- Titantic on New Years! HA! Michael recently bought me "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" ,and he hardly believes that "The Banquet" exists....but I'll find it. I want him to know the things that were important to me growing up. I soaked you up like a sponge. I was so impressed with your braided bread that one year on Thanksgiving. How funny the little things that you remember. You guys are in my heart. What a treat to be with the cool relatives. I miss talking movies and books. I hate not seeing your shows. We'll have to at least write soon.
PS- You are as flakey as I am....hee hee
I love you two,
Renee

I met John Erreca in 1978 at Our Lady of Fatima, a small Catholic School in the San Joaquin Valley. He and I, while very different in many ways, became good friends over the next 5 years and it is wonderful to see that he has fulfilled his youthful promise in music. As a boy he was remarkable because of his natural musical ability, his keen intellect and warm heart. It seems he not strayed far from his youthful past. It has been over 25 years since I have seen John but would like him to know that I hold all those memories dear and wish him the very best in life.

This CD takes me back to the days when you could find a cabaret show happening on every corner in SF. The collection of songs offers the listener a wide variety of styles. Just piano and voice and an intimate, cozy feeling.

I love this CD! John's gorgeous voice accompanied by his beautiful piano are a pleasure to listen to. It reminds me of a wonderful evening of Broadway musical theater followed by dinner at a classy nightspot.

I bought this CD at a performance of his. It's amazing the personality captured on this CD. His voice is even more extrodinary live! He seems to have many different 'sounds' for the mix of different styles. Looking forward to his next show and CD.
